Upcycling the Microsoft Word app & creating an educational tool to improve the quality of public graphics.
Introduction
The project aims to offer graphic designers, the wider public, but also be an alternative to the uncritical acceptance of the relationship between graphic design and an administrative institution. The impact of the institutions‘ visual output on the public is not negligible but overlooked by the design community. It is this invisibility of fundamental visual problems that are becoming the theme of the project.
Goal
The Microsoft Word environment offers tools to work with composition and layout, or advanced typography and image. Summarizing this knowledge and creating simple guidelines for the institution’s environment is a significant step towards improving the quality of public graphical output.
